What is IV hydration?
IV stands for intravenous which means within a vein. IV hydration therapy is a medical technique where specially-formulated liquids, medications, or nutrients are injected directly into a vein to treat or prevent dehydration or illness.
Why should I get IV hydration?
IV hydration therapy helps the body recover quickly from a loss of fluids and electrolytes for a variety of reasons including jet lag, intense workouts, or illness. It can improve the perception of wellbeing by its refreshing capabilities as well as providing the body with instant vitality for proper functioning.
What type of IV hydration fluids/treatments do I need?
It all depends on why you are feeling fatigued, drained, or ill. All of our IV fluids start with a pH balanced solution that is then fortified with vitamins, minerals, amino acids, or other medications, as needed, to improve feelings of illness. How much does it cost?

How far do you travel?
Currently we will travel within the Shreveport/Bossier metropolitan area. If you are outside of this region and would like a nurse to come to your home, work, or event, please contact us at sugarsaltllc@gmail.com and we will be glad to determine if we are able to provide you with our services.
Can I get IV hydration if I have a specific disease?
IV hydration therapy can increase risk of bad outcomes or worsening of illness with certain medical disease. Please let your nurse know all medical problems that you have as well as allergies and medications you are taking to help reduce the chance of adverse outcome from IV therapy by filling out this form. We do have the right to refuse service to you if we believe that IV therapy will be more harmful than helpful in each specific case.
Is there a toxic dose of any of the vitamins/minerals you provide?
In general there are no toxic doses of water soluble vitamins as they can easily be excreted in the urine as long as your kidneys are functioning properly. Some vitamins can cause flushing of the skin, an itchy sensation of the body, or digestive distress in excessive amounts. All of our vitamins and minerals are within daily recommended values.
What are the side effects of IV hydration?
Most common side effects of IV hydration include pain with insertion of the IV catheter; however, other side effects can include allergic reactions to medications within the IV fluids, rashes, headaches, infection/inflammation/bruising at the site of IV catheter site, possible blood clots at the site of IV catheter insertion, worsening of an already known or unknown medical condition, or air getting into the blood vessels which can cause stroke, heart attack, or death.
